The Spartans FC
      In recent years, the Spartans have become one of the East of Scotland League's most successful clubs. In season 2003-04 they reached the 4th round of the Scottish Cup against Scottish Premier League side Livingston FC.

      In season 2005-06 Spartans again reached the 4th round of the Scottish Cup, losing 3-0 in a replay to 1st Division side St Mirren. The first game attracted a club record attendance of 3,346 at their home ground, City Park, in Edinburgh.

East of Scotland Football League
      The football league for Senior Clubs in the Edinburgh and Borders areas of Scotland. Some clubs from the south west of Scotland also compete in the League.
